May We Never Forget

Fifteen years ago today. I was just over a year old. I have no memory of this day, but the attack that occurred will never be forgotten by anyone, young or old.

It started out as just any regular day. People rushed to work, children to school. No one knew when they boarded those planes that morning what devastation and fate awaited them and their country.

I'm filled with utter sorrow thinking of the people lost that day. The men and women on the airplanes, the people in the Twin Towers, and so many first responders.

But we made it through. It may have been hard, but we made it through. Many churches that weekend were packed out with people searching for a safe haven and answers. Who knows how many people have their lives to Jesus that Sunday? My guess is a lot.

We need to remember, no matter what happens, that God has a plan and a purpose for each and every one of us. His plan is the best plan, and even though we might not see why He lets certain things happen, God knows the beginning, the middle, and the end, and He has His perfect plan written out.

In closing, I just want to urge everyone to pray for the victims' loved ones. No matter how many years pass, the pain of September 11, 2001 will always be in their hearts. It may fade as time goes on, but it will never fully heal. Remember them today.

And pray for our nation. Pray for God's guidance. Pray for revival in our states. Pray that we would turn from sin and beg for God's mercy. He is there, and He is listening.

Love to you all,

~Livi Jane

  1. Great post, Livi! Too many people have forgotten about 9/11, the tragedy, and the lives lost, but the families of the victims certainly haven't.

    1. Thank you, Faith! I agree! (And I enjoyed your post and story from last year!!) :D
